VII “Rio de la Plata” Workshop on Optics and Photonics

Recent breakthroughs in optics and photonics are driving transformative innovations across a wide range of fields, including communications, biomedical imaging, quantum technologies, and sensing. This workshop aims to bring together researchers working on both fundamental and applied aspects of optics and photonics to foster cross-disciplinary discussions and collaborations. Participants will have the opportunity to explore cutting-edge advancements, emerging trends, and key challenges in these fields, engaging in dynamic discussions that bridge theoretical foundations with real-world applications. The workshop will provide a stimulating and informal environment for networking, exchange of ideas, and the development of new research collaborations.

Previous workshop editions were organized in Colonia del Sacramento (2003, 2005, 2011), Punta del Este (2007), Piriápolis (2009) and Montevideo (2013).
